Well, figuratively speaking, anyway, as it is with heavy heart that we inform Thread Count's loyal readers that Estelle Getty has passed away at the age of 84. Contrary to popular opinion, she did not actually give birth to Bea Arthur, nor did she found Getty Images. She did, however, star opposite Kim Cattrall, Andrew McCarthy, and James Spader in Mannequin, for which Spader did not receive a Best Supporting Actor nomination. Coincidentally, we have no idea whether McCarthy is still alive.
