Even Bill Gates Couldn't Get into Quantum of Solace

Quantum of Solace dropped so hot that even Bill and Melinda Gates couldn't get into the 7:45 showing at Paul Allen's theater, Cinerama. This gave me an opportunity to have my picture taken (with an iPhone--sorry, Bill) with the gracious software magnate and philanthropist. My friend Nick informed the pair of show times at nearby Pacific Place, where we were headed, but we never saw them there.
They didn't miss out on much. Robert Wilsonsky was right to trash this Bond, in which the legendary secret agent is more like a besotted Bourne, and doesn't even deliver his famous surname-first name-surname line. Says my friend Sujan: "A great deal of that movie was just him quietly and angrily slamming back drinks. And then, when he was getting chased, other people were quietly and angrily chugging beers. It was like a quiet, angry party."
