We've got the sweet scoop on the official opening date of Coco la ti da, celebrity pastry chef Sue McCown's cozy dessert café in the old Fork space on Capitol Hill. It will be November 14. Stop in for tarts and other too-pretty-to-eat creations.

I was wrong about the former Coffee Messiah space—it's actually going to be a vegetarian noodle joint, not a bagel shop. More details to come. And, remember: Carbs are your friend.

This isn't exactly gossip, but I went to Vessel on Friday night and loved it. The bartender uses those large ice cubes that are a sign of a true bar artist (they don't melt quickly and dilute the drink). Great design, good service, expensive cocktails (most are $10 a pop). It definitely compares with Suite 410. Seems Seattle's bar scene is getting all grown up ...
