Remedy Teas

This ultra-sleek new hangout on Capitol Hill offers yet another place to get caffeinated on 15th Avenue East. With white vinyl hassocks, pale lime-green walls, and exposed pipes, Remedy is going for an industrial look. Strangely enough, the mood is more formal that cozy.

One wall is covered in numbered canisters, with 149 teas to choose between. Varieties range from Super Antiox and Darjeeling Oolong to Fine Matcha, as well as organic pure botanicals, such as hibiscus and rose petals.

And, if you happen to be strolling 15th a bit later in the evening, check out the tea cocktails: Black Tea Mimosas, Matcha Mojitos, and Sake Drops. Also on the menu: organic beers and wines, sandwiches and salads, pastries from Coco La Ti Da, and a full tea service, with tea sandwiches and scones.
