Keep Your Eyes on the Prize

TrophyBDayCup.jpg

Seattle's newest cupcake boutique, Trophy Cupcakes and Party, is planning a late-week kick-off in the Wallingford Center. In addition to a full cupcake line-up, they'll have an espresso bar featuring a caramely milk hot chocolate, which can be topped with homemade marshmallows, in case you feel like your sugar intake has dipped dangerously low.

Trophy will also sell vintage party supplies (think animal-themed cupcake picks and party hats). Its grand opening party, a "Valentine's Carnival," will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on February 10.

No word yet on whether there will be sports-themed cupcakes for The Big Game—guess I'll have to wait until Sunday to find out whether the 1940s produced bear- or colt-shaped cupcake picks.

Trophy Cupcakes and Party, 1815 N. 45th St., #209; (206) 632-7020

Hours: Mon. - Fri. 6:30 a.m. - 8 p.m; Sat. 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.; Sun. 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
