This quote, from a NY Times article on planned communities centered around vineyards, neatly sums up everything I hate in the world of food:

“You’re automatically in touch with other people who have an appreciation for wine and food,” he said. “Why would you share a $200 bottle with someone who’d be just as happy with a $16.95 bottle?”
