Andy's Diner, R.I.P.

• My first job out of highschool was working at Andy\'s.I washed dishes and prepped the salads. I made four garbage cans full of salad each day. I was soon rewarded for my hard work by getting to make the onion rings. The Philipino cooks would argue over the Emerald Downs racing forms. When the doors opened for lunch it was a balls to the wall workout for 4 hours of non stop lunches followed by a huge prime rib sandwich in the employees nook doing a play by play with the waitresses ,cooks and the owners. All accompanied to the sound track of train whistles and crossing guard bells ringing from the overhead speakers. Thank you Andy
