Oh, Jonathan, you said it. You said Seattle, bring us an artisanal, locavore ice cream stall. And like a manna from heaven, here comes Molly Moon�s.

Named for the proprietress herself, Seattleite Molly Moon Neitzel�s new ice cream shop will serve hip, organic homemade flavors like Skagit Strawberry, Vivace Coffee, Scout (a mint ice cream with crushed thin mints cookies in it), and Lemon-Basil Sorbet. Think Bi-Rite-quality lickables, with a living room.

When she moved to Seattle, Neitzel noticed Seattleites with young families migrating to the suburbs, where kid-friendly locales are more common. She wanted to offer a neighborhood family hangout close to central Seattle, a place Howard Schultz would approve, only geared toward small children instead of caffeine addicts.

Molly Moon�s will be located in Wallingford, at 45th and Densmore. Neitzel plans to open May 1st.
