Molly Moon's

MollyIceCreamLogo.jpg

Oh, Jonathan, you said it. You said Seattle, bring us an artisanal, locavore ice cream stall. And like a manna from heaven, here comes Molly Moons.

Named for the proprietress herself, Seattleite Molly Moon Neitzels new ice cream shop will serve hip, organic homemade flavors like Skagit Strawberry, Vivace Coffee, Scout (a mint ice cream with crushed thin mints cookies in it), and Lemon-Basil Sorbet. Think Bi-Rite-quality lickables, with a living room.

When she moved to Seattle, Neitzel noticed Seattleites with young families migrating to the suburbs, where kid-friendly locales are more common. She wanted to offer a neighborhood family hangout close to central Seattle, a place Howard Schultz would approve, only geared toward small children instead of caffeine addicts.

Molly Moons will be located in Wallingford, at 45th and Densmore. Neitzel plans to open May 1st.
