Are you a grilled cheese superstar?

So you think you're, like, the mac daddy of grilled cheese sandwich makers. Maybe you go classic, one kind of sensational cheddar cheese on sourdough, grilled to perfection every time in pure butter in your well-seasoned hand-me-down cast iron skillet. Or you're a slight rule bender, all about goat's milk tomme with fig jam on walnut loaf (pressed, of course). Or wait, you're the one who stunk the office up with your pickle-blue cheese-avocado-bologna thing on moldy Wonder bread. (What's wrong with you?)

If you're a grilled cheese superstar, consider entering the Seattle Cheese Festival Grilled Cheese Recipe Contest.

Details:

WHO: You. (Unless you're a professional chef.)

WHAT: Your awesome grilled cheese recipe, complete with a description of the inspiration for your sandwich. Six ingredients max. Filling not necessarily limited to cheese.

WHEN: Entry deadline is March 21st.

WHERE: The winning recipe will be served at the DeLaurenti cafe during The Seattle Cheese Festival, May 16 - 18. The top ten recipes will be listed on the festival's website. The winner will also give an on-stage sandwich-making demo during the festival. You know, for the little people.

WHY: You have mastered the perfect grilled cheese sandwich.

HOW: Email your best recipe to info@seattlecheesefestival.com.
