Help Me Find A Decent Bulk Section!
I'm in search of the best bulk section in the city for selection and price, if selection > price. Veteran Seattleites, help a sister out! Tell me where to go for all of my bulk needs. Bonus points if the place sells bulk tofu.

The Central Market line of grocery stores have awesome bulk food sections. I'm not sure if they have bulk tofu, but they have great dry food selections. Also, they have a really decent Asian food selection. They have locations in Shoreline, Mill Creek and Poulsbo. None of them are super convenient for city dwellers, but they are worth the drive!

Madison Market is great for flours, grains, beans, spices, yeast, eggs. Don't know about liquids or tofu.

Ditto on Central Market, but their smaller urban siblings (Town & Country Markets, including Ballard Market) hold their own.
Central Market Shoreline sells Thanh Son tofu, but if you live closer to downtown, go to the source at 12th & Yesler, and get it hot. Then stop at PFI, hidden just south of Uwajimaya, for all of your dry spices, beans, bulgur, and olives.
If you want better quality spices, stop at World Spice Merchants below Pike Place Market, but conveniently just above Zig Zag.

In addition, Madison Market also offers fresh mozzarella, maple syrup, honey, olive oil, and soy sauce in bulk, and they label their locally-sourced dry goods: look for Oregon hazelnuts and Seattle-made granola. And they will happily tare your empty containers and let you fill those. PFI will do this, too. And if you happen to find yourself at PCC, Whole Foods, or Met Market, those places have bulk sections, too.

We hit the West Seattle Thriftway for bulk nuts and candy, which is all you really need to live.
