We might suck at tipping, but really the waiters end up on top anyways because they get minimum wage as a base here--unlike many other places, where they make half or less than minimum wage because of the assumed tip income.

As someone who used to work in the industry I tip pretty well now, BUT!!! I found that many of my friends make more than me at my desk job, AND work less hours just by working a couple busy lunch times a week.
