Farewell, Animals?

With the Seattle University and King County Juvenile Justice crowds still smarting from the construction-caused departure of Skillet from their neighborhood, rumor has it that delightful 12th Ave. breakfast and lunch cafe Animals will be closing as well. A tipper said a sign at the cafe announced the closure date as the end of the month. This one surprised me, as whenever I went there during the lunch hour, it was fairly crowded. And like Jonathan Kauffman said, we need more restaurants in the First HIll/CD areas, not fewer.
