Cyndy's House of Pole Dancing

Today, the Seattle Times follows up on local blogs by reporting that Cyndy's House of Pancakes has been bought by a guy named Bob Davis, who's made a career suing cities for denying him the right to open a strip club and has finally put his money where his litigation was. Davis plans on keeping the name when he adds poles and $10 PBRs to the pancake house, which has been in the same location since 1972.

I first visited Cyndy's for a review last year, and was completely entranced by the place. "What are they going to do with the wingback stools?" one of my friends asked when I told him. (Lap dances?)

Davis says he may continue to offer pancakes. But I suspect that he'll be dispensing with the diner's signature dish. Ordering "Dutch babies" in a strip club could sic the FBI on you.
