New Year's Resolution #2: Act Like A Tourist, Oysters Edition
It's so easy to get wrapped up in the daily tedium of life in our fair city, and that's why sometimes you just have to act like a tourist. Visit the Pacific Science Center. How long has it been? Go walk among the butterflies (great for Seasonal Affect Disorder). Take a lap around the Pike Place Market for no reason. And by all means, hike down to the waterfront for oysters. Maybe wait for the snow to melt.Happy Hour (yes, I do believe it to be a proper noun and therefore it should be capitalized): Monday through Friday, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm in the bar, oysters start at 50¢ at 3:00pm and increase in price by 20¢ every half hour. Bonus: Please to enjoy also the view and happy hour drink specials at actual happy hour prices (under $5, how novel!). Each day, Elliott's picks an oyster to feature for this special, usually a small, crowd pleasing oyster. (photo by Allerina & Glen MacLarty)
