Date Night: Let's Have a Drink

In our continuing quest to keep romance alive in spite of these trying economic times, we may have forgotten one important ingredient in a successful date--booze. We understand that alcohol isn't exactly a necessity, but it certainly doesn't hurt when it comes to loosening things up a bit (in moderation, of course). The only problem is that getting your drink on is often what drives the cost of the meal toward the unaffordable, so if you want a little grease on the wheels of love without blowing your budget, we suggest heading out to Cellars Restaurant and Lounge in Belltown on Sunday or Monday. Not only is it happy hour all day, but bottles of wine up to $50 are half price. That means you can share a couple of small plates, like the queso fundido or tostadas de ceviche, plus a bottle (or two?) of wine, and still have enough money for a cab ride home (if you're lucky, you can tell the cabbie he'll only need to make one stop).
