Post-Intelligencer: Tribute in Gin
I've got no words about last day of the P-I, my people eulogize with booze; so I offer this:
The Post-Intelligencer
2 ounces Voyager dry gin
Juice of ½ of a blood orange
½ teaspoon Tart is Smart sour cherry juice (from Simply The Best, 1501 Pike Pl.)
A healthy dash of Fee's Old-Fashioned bitters
Shake and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice to lightly water down this bittersweet drink. (Surely newspaper peeps historically prefer brown liquor, but I figured local coverage more important.)
