Voracious Highlights of the Week

highlights3.jpg
A short recap of what our bloggers were up to this week:

Maggie gives the personal rundown on the oyster-friendly wine competition she judged at, and by "judged" I mean "ate as many oysters as she could before they noticed"; pre-tastes Kalua sliders at Seattle's upcoming Hawaiian-Korean truck; presents photographic evidence that she adulterates her mate with soymilk; and gives instructions on how to sip your G&T with that tiny straw.

I do some deep metaphysical ruminating on Ethan Stowell's and Matt Dillon's approach to food, talk to a couple guys about their tomato soup cupcake (all right, I admit I'm intrigued), and reminisce oh-so-sweetly about chow fun and college.

Meanwhile, Sara Brickner cures scrambled head with scrambled eggs at Hudson, and Suzie Rugh scores the scoop on Skillet Street Food's new permanent window/commissary at Fourth and Main, posting it just as I shoot the owners a Tweet asking them for details. Remember, second place means you lose.
