Tough Times, Smart Restaurants: Picnic Edition

Recently spotted on the windows of the Canterbury, Capitol Hill's favorite grimy Tudor inn:

I can't believe that the Canterbury is the first business on 15th Ave. to take advantage of the fact that Volunteer Park is three blocks north of the commercial strip. If you're headed for an afternoon at the lawn, your options to date have been to pick up a pricey/disgusting prewrapped sandwich and a soda at QFC or take a side trip down Galer for one of Volunteer Park Cafe's (admittedly great) panini. Now you can get your whole !!! picnic setup en route for a decent price. Perhaps they'll even fill up your flask for you, too. Just remember to keep it hidden. Concealed weapons may still be allowed in city parks, but open containers of booze aren't.
