10 Years Later, American Pie Has Never Been The Same
I must admit that I already had American Pie on my mind after looking at all of Kevin Casey's pictures accompanying Jonathan Kauffman's pie feature this week. But after seeing that Jason Biggs--aka "Jim"--was attacked by a monkey while hiking in Gibraltar, I decided it was time to take a look at what they crew's been up to. I mean, are they really only making headlines when they're attacked by primates?

It's hard to believe that we got our first serving of American Pie 10 yeas ago. But I think it is clear that a decade later, we've never looked at pie -- apple or otherwise -- the same. Here's a look back at 10 serious years of pie, and what's happened to Pie's leading men.
Jim: Guys, uh, what exactly does third base feel like?
Oz: Like warm apple pie.
Jim: Apple pie, huh?
Oz: Uh huh.
Jim: McDonald's or homemade?
After making the first two American Pie flicks, Chris Klein, aka "Oz," passed on the third flick. This year, he's been seen and heard in Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li and American Dad.![]()
Mr. Levenstein: "We'll just tell your mother that we ate it all."
Eugene Levy, aka "Jim's Dad" or "Mr. Levenstein," has been in eight American Pie installments, including American Wedding, American Pie Presents Band Camp, and American Pie: Book of Love, currently in post-production, according to IMDB.![]()
After making the first three American Pie movies, Eddie Thomas landed roles in the Harold & Kumar films, American Dad, and Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist. He was with Biggs when the latter was attacked by a monkey.![]()

Don't forget Klein was the last man to be seen inside Katie Holmes before Tom Cruise recruited her as his beard. As for Thomas Ian Nicholas, he's best known to my brother Tim's keyboardist as the five-foot-nothin' asshole who almost came to blows after an argument over selling out artistically at a Hollywood after-hours party several years ago. Karma's a bitch, TIN-man.
