Today at the Queen Anne Farmers Market
A rebel among farmers markets, as it's not part of either of the two main farmers market associations in town, the Queen Anne Farmers Market enhances its wares by scheduling music, entertainment, and interesting chef demos. Running today from 3:00-7:00 p.m., here are some of the highlights:
From 4:00-5:00 p.m. chef Seth Caswell, of soon to open emmer & rye will hold a cooking demo. One of the state's finest cheese makers, Monteillet Fromagerie, will have riesling, strawberry and vanilla sheep's milk gelato for sale. The Seattle Humane Society MaxMobile will be on hand 3:00-6:00 p.m. to allow you to see and interact with some of the animals up for adoption right now (nothing to do with food, but pretty sweet).
The market's website also has a blog entry each week to let customers know who's bringing what to market (like Dog Mountain Farm returning this week with chicken and eggs).
