Too Gassed to Cook Thanksgiving Dinner? Let These Folks Do It For You

Don't have the time, energy, and/or skills to whip up a Thanksgiving bird? Don's sweat it! Pre-cooked whole turkeys will be available at QFC, Metropolitan Market, Whole Foods, PCC, Albertsons, Safeway and Madison Market for about $50, on average. Some restaurants are offering whole pre-cooked birds to go as well, such as Northgate's Marie Callender's ($120 per bird), Smokin' Pete's BBQ (starting at $55 per bird), and Pioneer Square's New Orleans-themed Marcela's Cookery ($75).

If time is really running low and you need the entire meal to-go, some local restaurants are lending a helping hand (by the way, these are in no means meant to be interpreted as comprehensive lists). For $32 a plate, Palisade(2601 W Marina Pl) will throw together free-range turkey breast, mashed potatoes, sweet potato puree and a choice of pumpkin or pecan pie. Also within the $30 price rage is BOKA Kitchen + Bar (1010 1st Ave), which will offer a three-course meal to-go, consisting of a choice of soup or salad, turkey with mashed yukon potatoes, and dessert to follow. McCormick's Fish House & Bar (722 4th Ave) also has a $22.95 three-course meal plan that includes the soup or salad (pumpkin & apple bisque, ceasar or house salad), turkey dinner (generally white meat unless specified), and a choice of pumpkin or apple pie.

If money is no object, then the Sorrento Hotel's Hunt Club (900 Madison St) offers a $300 meal plan that will feed 6-8 people-- white or dark turkey with homemade cranberry dressing, mashed potatoes, caramelized yams, green beans, and pumpkin or apple pie.

So, there's no excuse. Even the laziest couch potatoes can heat up something in a matter of seconds during halftime of the Lions game--if the Lions game is even worth watching by that point.
