Joule Urban BBQ Update: Because the 'Cue News Never Ends...

A couple days back, Joule announced that it'd chosen a date for the start of its 2010 Urban BBQ series and promised more details (like dates and inspirations) to come. Good as their word, the crew came through today with a full spread of information on their "world culinary tour." This is straight from Joule's Facebook page:

Joule presents 3rd annual Urban BBQ 2010. We will serve a casual urban bbq fare around different themes on Sundays from June through August. Join us for a delectable world culinary tour this summer. You won't have to travel far for this delicious experience, but we guarantee to send your test buds to places they have never been.

Tickets for each Sunday are $18 for adults and $10 for kids. Tickets are good for your choice of hot dishes, and a "picnic table" filled with a selection of cold dishes, non-alcoholic drinks, and desserts, which changes weekly.

As stated, the theme this year is a kind of world tour--beginning in Seattle on June 6 and then hopping thousands of miles at a bounce. From the Pacific Northwest, the focus will move to Austin, Texas (a great barbecue town), then Oaxaca, Mexico (Mmmm... costillas), Havana, Cuba, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Marrakesh, Marseille, Sicily, Phuket, Halong Bay in Vietnam and then wrapping up in Busan, Korea on August 22.

That right there? That's one helluva vacation is what that is. That is an epic culinary tour. I can't even imagine the amount of time, effort, planning and stock the folks from Joule are investing in this project, but I do know one thing.

I can't wait for things to get started.
