Sweet Freak: Slutting it Up with Shimmering Soft-Shell M&Ms

Mint Thrills. Yes, it does.
Okay, M&Ms. How many more tricks do you have up your sleeve? Why all of the sudden are you trying to reinvent yourself? I think I speak for millions of candy eaters when I say there was nothing broken with your original plan of plain and peanut.

This seems to be the year of the M&M transformation. First, there was the recent discovery of coconut M&Ms, and now, a shimmering soft-shell variety? Not only have these M&Ms shed their hard candy coating in favor of a shiny new outfit, they come in a melt-in-your-mouth mint flavor that begs the question: "What took so long?"

You can't miss the new Mint Thrills flavor of M&Ms. They come in a bright green bag with a naughty looking lady M&M sitting down with her extended legs showcasing a serious pair of hooker heels. Why she has her finger in her mouth is beyond me. Maybe she's trying to look irresistible, like the candy.

These Mint Thrills have a white chocolate mint center and are coated with dark chocolate. The outside is a shimmering jade green. They taste a lot like Andes mints, but they're even better, because you can eat 20 of them at a time.

The color may look like nail polish, but it's actually chocolate.
Another flavor I picked up (both flavors courtesy of the Westwood Village Target) is the Chocolate Trio. Like the Mint Thrills, this bag also features a slutty M&M leaning up against an imaginary candy bag wall displaying the same hooker heels and finger-in-mouth pose. Unlike the Mint Thrills, this flavor isn't as swoon-worthy. It's basically just a regular M&M, but without the crunch. While there is a layer of white chocolate surrounding the milk chocolate center, you can't really tell. If anything, it makes the M&M taste a bit creamier.

There is one big difference with the Chocolate Trios: They have quite a bit more girth. In fact, the Trios are about twice the size of the Mint Thrills. All of the sudden, the knowing look on the hussy M&M's face is starting to make sense.
