For fans of family-owned Filiberto's former no-man's-land space on the SeaTac-Tukwila border, their current space in downtown Burien is heaps easier to find, and just as good, food-wise.

We popped in for lunch Saturday during the Burien Strawberry Festival, where the only strawberries in sight appeared on paper plates, atop shortcake. Whatever--the real draw, it turns out, was Filberto's World Cup special: $7.50 pizzas and $1.50 microbrew drafts during all World Cup telecasts.
When we asked co-owner Pat Perry whether the pizzeria opened for the 4:30 and 7 a.m. PST matches, he said no, that the parlor opened up for the 11:30 a.m. matches instead. But tomorrow, in honor of the United States' critical 7 a.m. match against Algeria, Filiberto's will be open at kickoff.
Ever had pizza for breakfast? Sure you have, whether you're willing to admit it or not. But we'll bet you haven't had it cooked to order (or served hot, for that matter) by pedigreed experts who make their own sausage to boot. Well, tomorrow's your chance to make that dream come true.
