Sushi Comes to Capitol Hill, Booze Comes to Kirkland
The saying that good things come in threes bodes well for the three sushi restaurants opening on Capitol Hill. The conveyor belt sushi chain Genki Sushi is open now in the Broadway Building, as is Octo Sushi on 12th Ave., Capitol Hill Seattle reports. And Pinto Thai, a Thai-sushi fusion joint, is coming to Broadway "in early July," according to the restaurant's website.
Those diehard soccer fans still mourning the end of the World Cup can drink their sorrows away this weekend (along with everybody else) at Kirkland Uncorked. More than 17 wineries will have vintages available for sampling in the tasting garden at Marina Park, according to the Kirkland Reporter. There's also a beer garden, a grill-off, and a grilling demonstration stage. Tickets are $20 advance or $25 at the door.
