Seattle's Top 5 Free Bar Snacks
What's better than free shit? Nothing, especially when you're dealing with a freelance writing budget. That's why your terminally broke friends here at Voracious thought it would be fun to try and sustain ourselves on nothing but bar snacks for an entire week. We're not talking complimentary appetizers or happy hour buffets, we're talking pure-and-simple snacks; the stuff you can get whenever you saddle up to the bar. What we discovered during this challenge was that 1) this city is severely lacking in free, good bar snacks and 2) free bars snacks do not equal dinner, even when they're shaped like fish.
Put away your debit card and bring the big purse, because we have compiled a list of Seattle's Top 5 Free Bar Snacks.
5. Goldfish ![]()
Please don't go, fish!
Rob Roy, 2332 Second Ave., 956-8423.
Don't pretend you don't get excited when you pass by the gigantic-sized bags of this sea snack at Costco. Rob Roy offers all-you-can-eat Goldfish during the evening hours. But when the clock strikes 8 p.m., this free bar snack morphs into a $2 menu item. Get that glass slipper handy, because you're going to need something to scoop these crackers into your bag before you leave.
