Snackdown! Wallingford Leads at Halftime
My job offers me very few opportunities to emulate Greg Gumbel, so I'm pretty excited about presenting the official Great Neighborhood Snackdown halftime report. 
Folks, this match-up is as tight as a chef at last call. After an early-week surge by White Center, the 'hoods have entered a statistical dead heat: White Center's racked up 49.79 percent of the vote, which puts Wallingford at 50.21 percent.
There's no love lost between these two teams; the first half has seen a flurry of fouls called by Wallingford fans, who claim White Center isn't within Seattle city limits. Other defensive Wallingford boosters have flooded the zone, with one motivated comment writer alphabetically listing 82 restaurants that aren't found in White Center.
It's now up to White Center to control the tempo. It's not unusual for underdog teams to burn out before the finals, but White Center's strong start suggests the 'hood could claim the championship if it keeps playing its game.
