Belltown Gains Another Cocktail Lounge, MOD Pizza Expands to Lynnwood, & More
In Ballard, Seattle Burger Company at 2008 N.W. 56th St. has closed after just 18 months of business. A barbecue restaurant is slated to soon take over the space.
Splash Lounge Belltown's newest restaurant and bar is now open for business.
In the Central District, Japanese sweet shop Umai-Do has opened at 1825 S. Jackson St., according to Central District News. Owned by Art Oki, it features traditional treats like dorayaki and mochi, as well as tea.
In Belltown, a new fusion restaurant and lounge is now open at at 2122 Second Ave. Splash Lounge features East-West fusion fare and cocktails.
In Fremont, a new coffee shop is open at 770 N. 34th St. But don't expect to find a pumpkin spice latte with whip on the menu. Milstead & Company boasts a limited selection - intentionally. Owner Andrew Milstead, previously the manager at Urban Coffee Lounge in Kirkland, wants the focus to be on providing a high quality cup of "plain" coffee.
Over in Green Lake, Bandolero Restaurant & Tequila Bar at 2253 N. 56th St. has closed. Before Bandolero took over the space last summer, it was occupied by Pour House and Luau Polynesian Lounge.
In Queen Anne, Italian eatery Bricco at 1525 Queen Anne Ave. N. has shuttered. Sam Crannell, former chef at Five Corner Market Bar and Kitchen in Ballard, will transform it into his new venture called LloydMartin.
And lastly, over in Kirkland, Qdoba Mexican Grill is now open at 107 Lake St., while in Lynwood, MOD Pizza launches its fifth store in Northpointe Retail Center at 2902 164th St. S.W. tomorrow at 11 a.m.
