Kief Urban: Kief Candy From Urban Roots
The candy -- made from sugar, corn syrup, isomalt, and coconut oil -- along with, crucially, 1/8 gram of kief (marijuana THC glands) -- comes in various flavors. The ones I picked were Pina Colada, and had a very pleasant taste.
"May Cause Drowsiness," the back of the label advises, and they aren't kidding, especially if you aren't accustomed to cannabis. With my tolerance level, the two candies produced a mild buzz along with pain relief and the sort of calm centeredness prized by marijuana advocates.
The label on my $5 two-pack of Kief Candies said "Regular Strength," so maybe there's an "Extra Strength" version containing 1/4 gram of kief per two candies; otherwise, those with elevated tolerance may want to try four candies instead of two.
I found my Kief Candy at Urban Roots in the U-District, 1406 NE 50th Street, Suite B, telephone 527-5154, website www.mygreennow.org. They're open Monday through Saturday, noon to 7, and Sunday 12-6.
